First snow! Paula and I woke up to a wintry wonderland ... I'd say about three or four inches. Christie came over, and now she and Paula are sledding on the front lawn.
Tonight Paula and I bundled up and went outside to watch the meteor shower. Since we couldn't see much, we decided to drive to Rock Rock to check out the Lehigh Valley Amateur Astronomical Society. We've seen their little domed building on walks to Big Rock, but I had no idea. There was about fifty people there on blankets, waiting till the real show started at 3am. I talked to two Lehigh professors, one of which showed us Saturn and its rings through a big telescope. This place is three miles from our house!
